2025 art recap: video games
I wanted to do some (art) recaps and I'll start with my favourite: video games! This will be a short series that will be completed with books, movies and TV series. I also thought to write about my drawings this year, but I don't have too much to talk about apart from showing the drawings (that you can see here!).
This year it's been an amazing year for me. Probably the best in recent years!! I've played lots of games, 44 exactly. That makes me happy :) If there's a year that I don't play video games, then something bad happens (i guess).
I've been adding the games to this list in backloggd: played in 2025. I also made another list with the games I started playing for the first time in 2025: first time in 2025.
I liked almost all the games i've played!! I believe these are my favourites (more or less):
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Absolute masterpiece. I like all of the game.
- Hollow Knight: Silksong. Another masterpiece. It made me suffer and be extremely focus that I was a liiiiitle bit tired at the end. That's why I haven't seen yet the true ending (but I will).
- It Takes Two. Best coop I've played in my life. Awesome experience playing it with Lara :)
- Until Then. I haven't finished it yet, but it became on of my favourites. At least as a visual novel. I'm playing it with Larita too and it's being amazing.
- A Short Hike. This is why I love indies. I really like the experience and that made me buy the game on Steam (i played for free on Epic Games, the worst launcher btw) and go for all the achievements.
- What Remains of Edith Finch. Hidden gem. Another short game but it tell the story in a creative and original way. Lot of players should play this.
- Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eye. I had some ups and downs with this DLC, but it's still a 5 star for me. I would love some things were different, but it's crazy how this game is and how you progress through the story.
- Before Your Eyes. I really like the story but it didn't catch me as i want. However, It was 5 stars because of its original way to tell the story (through your eyes!).
- Street Fighter 6. I pause playing this, but i'm not afraid anymore of fighting games. I'll play it again some day, but i don't want to force it. It's so cool! I watched lots of vids and content about SF6.
- Nine Sols. Unfortunately I stopped playing this because of Silksong. It's really a great game, very difficult too tho. I hope one day I'll play it again, but its difficulty puts me off.
All of them are from 'first time in 2025'. I'm not counting the ones I've played before.
There are more games on the list that are really cool! As I said before, I like almost all the games i've played.
I also started playing Lego Voyagers with Lara and Hades II. Crazy games they are so good. It's been a good year!!
